The Doges' Palace in Venice (Palazzo Ducale di Venezia) was built between 1309 to 1424 and was home to the Doge. The building also acted as the political headquarters for the Venetian Republic.

PalaceLocated on the Venetian lagoon, next to St. Mark's Square, the palace is open to visitors during designated hours. Palazzo Ducale houses some excellent sculptures and artwork. Other attractions at the palace include the impressive Giganti Staircase (Scala Dei Giganti) and Bridge of Sighs (Ponte dei Sospiri).
